About the company

ČSAD JIHOTRANS is a transportation company with a long operational history, dating back to 1949; the firm is suitably structured and experienced to provide road haulage, logistics services and repair activities. In recent years, the company has undergone meaningful and well-targeted development, starting with a spin-off from the former ČSAD Regional Headquarters in 1991, continuing with privatization in 1996, and finishing with measures aimed at consolidating the entire company and lending greater efficiency to all its activities.
The year of 2001 witnessed the successful completion of a process carried out to privatize ČSAD Strakonice, an effort through which the company, previously owned by the state, was converted to ČSAD STTRANS, a joint-stock company, where ČSAD JIHOTRANS holds a 50% interest.
In April 2003, the company greatly advanced, particularly in its logistics operations, by purchasing a part of ČSAD České Budějovice a.s. The company's hitherto activities were thus complemented with the international transportation of less-than-truckload consignments, the Transportexpres pick-up service, and storage and customs services.
ČSAD JIHOTRANS pursues the traditional transportation disciplines, first and foremost the public road transportation of passengers, domestic & international freight road transportation, repair activities, customs services, and domestic & international transit of the less-than-truckload consignments; it provides logistics services, operates a forwarding office and renders a number of support services.
To continually improve the quality of its services, ČSAD JIHOTRANS (as one of the first transportation firms) implemented the ČSN EN ISO 9001 certified system of Quality Assurance as early as 1998.
To improve control systems in terms of environment, we introduced and certified the environmental management system conforming to the ČSN EN ISO 14001 norm in 2002, and in 2007 we certified the food safety system conforming to ČSN EN ISO 22000.

Besides the company�s Headquarters in České Budějovice, ČSAD JIHOTRANS has established independent divisions in Týn nad Vltavou, Kaplice and Vimperk.
JIHOTRANS Group, a business corporation having the ČSAD JIHOTRANS, ČSAD STTRANS and JWE joint-stock companies among its major members, is the largest provider of transportation services in the region of South Bohemia, a fact attributable to the company's potential, capacity and the scope of services it runs.
The Group operates almost 360 trucks, 370 trailers and semi-trailers, a 250-strong fleet of vehicles belonging to the contractual carriers and 200 buses; it employs 1,050 workers.
